PACKAGE OVERVIEW
The clear blue skies, chilly wind, narrow paths and the arid mountains in the desolate Ladakh valley have a charm of its own. Enjoy the beautiful sights of monasteries with colourful prayer flags, monks in their maroon garb and shepherds leading a herd of mountain goats sauntering in the valley. ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LEH

Arrive at Leh Airport, meet our representative and take a transfer to the hotel. Check into the hotel for a complete day of rest. Welcome tea and coffee will be served by the hotel. Lunch will be served at 2.00 pm. After lunch, visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 02: LEH

A day to visit to the monasteries (104 kms) - After breakfast, drive to visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey and Hemis monasteries and Stok Palace Museum. Packed or hot lunch will be provided. Return to Leh in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 03: LEH TO PANGONG LAKE TO LEH (320 KMS)

After early breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft. It is the third highest motorable road in the world. At 1200 hrs., arrive Pangong, which is the highest salt water lake in the world, shared by two countries India & China. Packed or hot lunch will be provided. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the banks of Pangong while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating altitude of the lake. Drive back to Leh by the same route. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 04: LEH

Enjoy a full day visit to Khardung La Pass and Gurdawara and Sangam. After breakfast, drive to Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world. Return to Leh by afternoon and enjoy hot lunch at the hotel. After lunch, drive to visit Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hill and Sangam of Zangskar and Indus River. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 05: DEPARTURE FROM LEH (0600 HOURS)

Take a transfer to the airport and board the connecting flight to Delhi.

The Leh Monastery and Gompha - 12 of them near the River Indus cannot be missed. Lamayuru - the oldest monastery is believed to have been a sacred site for the pre-Buddhist religion known as Bon. The Spituk Monastery, Shanti Stupa, Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, Shankar gompa, Shey Gompa and Leh Mosque an exquisite work of the Turko-Iranian architecture are worth a visit.
